INTRODUCTION

The CD-Rom publication has been officially registered (ISSN 1176-7480) and was published on 9 September 2005. It represents:

All presenters & delegates from the 2005 Conference were supplied with a complimentary copy of the Proceedings CD-Rom at the conference.

All papers were presented at the 2nd Independent Learning Association Oceania Conference held at the Manukau Institute of Technology, Auckland NZ, 9-12 September 2005.

The papers reflect the aim of the conference to enable emerging, academics and practitioners to engage with their more experienced colleagues.
