Tours
We are pleased to offer our participants a range of tours to visit famous sights in and around Tokyo. Alternatively, there is a chance to visit 2 self-access centres, or to spend a few days discovering Kyoto. Departures for all tours will be approximately 1.00p.m. on Monday 8th October. Please refer to your tour tickets for specific departure times from the Conference venue. All tours (except the SAC visits) will be dependent on a minimum number of people.
To book a place on one of these tours, please indicate your preference on your Conference registration form.
Tour A
Naritasan Shinshoji Temple
Narita isn’t just the airport! This temple and the town of Narita will give you a taste of the ‘real Japan’.
- Cost: 5,500 yen.
- Transport: coach.
- English speaking guide included.
Tours B to F – Unfortunately these tours have had to be cancelled due to insufficient numbers.
Tour G
The SALC and the ILC
Visit the award winning SALC at the Conference venue, and the sister centre at Kanda Institute of Foreign Languages.
- Cost: train fare only (approx. 700 yen one-way)
- Transport: Train
- English speaking guide included.
Tour H - Unfortunately this tour has had to be cancelled due to insufficient numbers.
